Here is a preview of the new version of Ubuntu (Karmic Koala) which will be released at the end of the month.Â It keeps getting better and better, but will probably be some time before it can be considered as a serious replacement for Windows on the business desktop. Personally, I like it, but most small businesses will probably continue using windows on their workstations. When it comes time to upgrade, they should consider all 3 alternatives (Mac, Windows, Linux). Most open source software will run on all 3 major platforms, so it is not really a problem. I find Linux to be very good for servers, and there are significant advantages, in terms of cost, less restrictive licensing etc.
